Welcome to The Lone Ram Ranch! Located in the beautiful Bitterroot valley, our combination of horse back riding, Bible study, and the great outdoors makes for a one-of-a-kind adventure. A sister ministry of Camp Bighorn, we are a 501(C3) nonprofit Christian horse ranch, currently located along the majestic Clark Fork River near Plains, MT.
Our goal at The Lone Ram is to spread the gospel of Christ using God’s creation, a tradition Camp Bighorn began over 20 years ago and continues to this day. The Ranch is able to expand on this concept by adding God’s creatures. Using horses, changed environment, and temporary community, we desire to see families changed for the better. This changed environment allows for not only growth and adventure, but there are plenty of opportunities to work on developing conflict resolution skills. In this setting, new relationships begin, and familiar ones are strengthened. But the most important one; our relationship with our Creator, is focused on to give us all a foundation for life.
Our rustic setting includes eating outdoors, sleeping in tents, and making memories that will last a lifetime. Days are filled with barn classes, riding lessons, trail rides, Bible studies, singing, hikes, and much more. The nights are filled with stars that only a Montana sky could boast.
